A Busy Summer and Exciting Year Ahead
Wow — what a summer it’s been!
Looking back, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a busy few months, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I kicked things off with two weeks of summer school and they were great. It’s such a joy to see students learning together, building confidence, and even having a bit of fun while keeping those 11+ skills fresh.
This year, I also put together a week-by-week summer work pack so that children had a clear, structured way to stay on track during the holidays. The feedback from parents has been so positive — it’s lovely to know it made life easier at home too!
We finished the summer with our final mock exam. It was fantastic to see how far the children have come since the start of the course. The detailed feedback afterwards gave them clear focus areas for last few weeks before their exam.
For new families joining me, I ran lots of taster sessions — such a great way to meet my future students and start building those important connections. I’ve also been hard at work preparing for my brand new Year 4 Foundations course, which I’m so excited to launch.
And behind the scenes? I’ve been collaborating with Bourne Creative on a fresh new brand and website. It feels so special to see my little tutoring world reflected so beautifully, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
So yes — it’s been busy, but full of moments that remind me why I love what I do. Now, with a new academic year ahead, I feel ready, energised, and excited to welcome both returning and new students to the journey.
