Behaviour Policy

I strive to create a warm, positive, and encouraging environment where every child feels confident, valued, and motivated to learn. Praise and positive reinforcement are at the heart of my approach, and I celebrate effort, progress, and good choices. It is really important to me that the children enjoy coming to my lessons! However, as lessons take place in a small group, it is essential that all children demonstrate respectful and considerate behaviour to ensure that everyone can focus, feel safe, and make the most of their learning time. This Behaviour Policy sets out the expectations that help maintain a calm and supportive atmosphere for all.

Respect for Others

Students are expected to treat tutors and peers with kindness and respect at all times. Disruptive or unkind behaviour, including teasing, name-calling, or physical aggression, will not be tolerated.

Listening and Participation

Students should listen carefully to instructions and participate positively in all activities. Hands should be raised to speak during group discussions to ensure everyone has a chance to contribute.

Focus and Effort

I encourage students to try their best and stay focused throughout the session. Off-task behaviour, such as unnecessary talking or distracting others will lead to a verbal warning and informing parents.

Respect for the Environment

Students should respect all materials, resources, and the learning space. Any deliberate damage may lead to a discussion with parents and a contribution toward repair or replacement.
