About Me

Having qualified as a secondary school English teacher in 2005, I have worked in both state and private schools in the UK and abroad. In my last classroom teaching role, I was the Head of the KS3 English curriculum and also a lead practitioner as I was an OFSTED rated ‘outstanding’ teacher; this involved helping to train and mentor other teachers in the school on how to deliver engaging and effective lessons that ensured maximum progress.

In 2015 I relocated from London to Marlow when my first child was born and I began private tuition for both GCSE English and 11+. My business quickly grew from word-of-mouth recommendations and due to having young children, I made the decision to focus on delivering excellent tuition instead of going back to work in a school.

With nearly twenty years of teaching experience, I know how important a supportive, encouraging and positive teaching approach is; I strive to make students feel comfortable and confident and give them the tools they need to make progress and succeed.
